A SENIOR cleric who denied any wrongdoing after a complaint of child sexual abuse was made against him by a woman last year has died in tragic circumstances.Fr John Sweetman had taken leave from parish duties in Riverchapel, Co Wexford, pending garda and HSE investigations.
The accusations he faced allegedly took place 30 years ago when he was a young priest in his 20s in Wexford town.
Fr Sweetman's body was located early last Tuesday morning.
