Archdiocese of Miami announces additional flights to Cuba for Pope Benedict XVI's visit

The Archdiocese of Miami is announcing additional flights to Cuba for Pope Benedict XVI's upcoming visit.

The church says extra flights are available from Fort Lauderdale on March 24 and Miami on March 25 and 27.

The pope arrives in Santiago on March 26 and will hold an outdoor mass to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the image of Virgin of Charity, Cuba's patron saint.

He will travel on to Havana the following day.

Archbishop Thomas Wenski is among those departing from South Florida for the historic visit.
